just read this elsewhere,they say the building work at the airport is for this.
 
 18 euros to p.b was one of the fares mentioned?

Hi Dixie,
It was me that posted that...just what I heard. Sorry meant to post it here. There are different views on this but someone that is kinda involved in it told me this week they have a contract in place for buses and the cost will be €18 to playa blanca for instance. I have also talked to a couple of taxi drivers that are bit upset (to say the least) at the thought!

If it is €18, and assuming two people want to go to PB with luggage, then that's €36  plus whatever the cost of getting from the PB bus station to where they are staying, either by local bus, €3 for the two peole, or Taxi, probably about € 3 - 5. That sounds about the same as a taxi, and a lot less convenient.  If there are 3 or 4 people there's no contest.

Sounds interesting Dixie. Can't see the taxi drivers being too happy... but it would benefit the single holidaymakers for sure. Wouldn't save much at all if it was a family - and I for one would prefer a door to door service that a taxi or airport transfer can provide.
