...give or take a couple of kilometres.

A little something I've been planning to do for a while.

I think that works out at about 45 miles in old money?---- give or take,
If you average 3 miles an hour, should take 15 hours, ish.
Quite an achievment to do it in one day Cool
Still in Feb it should not be too hot, and  a brisk N to S tailwind would help.

Is this a solo effort or are you going to have a "Forest Gump"type of entourage?
Good luck to you Alan. Wink

Planning on two days Ted - the road here are a bit dangerous at night.... Not doing it against the clock or anything like that.

Definitely a solo thing. Something I've fancied doing for a while - and just thought if I'm doing it might as well see if I can use it to make some money for charity.

Dixie - the date is on the link Smiley 4th Feb barring any broken legs or the like in the meantime....

Solo - because that's the way I roll.... Smiley Seriously, something I've wanted to do for a while... Not really interested in doing it with others - I like (and need) my own company sometimes - it's a 'me thing' as the birds who write women's mags might say. Smiley

Yup... the miserable bu*ger doesn't mix well. I think it's the involuntary spasms that put people off Grin

To be honest he was just going to do it quietly and by himself... but we thought it would be good to raise some money for a good cause or two whilst he's at it. And by going public, he can't chicken out Cheesy

And no... I'm not up for walking that far lol - I'll stay at home with the doggies

...yep Smiley There's only one person who can put up with me for more than a couple of hours Dixie - and she struggles...

Seriously. There's a couple of personal things in this for me - just something I wanted to do. The charity side is 'incidental' - for want of a better word. I'm doing it anyway - so why not try and use it for the good.

Having said that, offers of refreshment along the way are more than welcome Cheesy

Nice one Alan, when you mentioned it a few weeks ago I thought what a godd idea.

Have to say (as someone who bikes all over solo) I can totally understand the 'own space' thing.

Much as I would like to feel godd like at times Flash. I think that was a typo....... Smiley Jokes aside you actually put it better into words by saying 'I get it' better than I did...

Dixie - cheers mate!
