Hadn't spotted it until it was mentioned in here... but it sounds like my kind of programme. Anything with polar bears or penguins, and I'm very interested.

If you are a polar bear fan you would really love this, Elle!

I got a Christmas gift of adopting a Polar Bear for a year via http://wwf.org.uk/ (I don't know how Dino will feel about sharing his dog run , but hey ho, at least they'll look like brothers frollocking about in the Arctic conditions that we have come to know and love in Baltray lately!)

Anyhow, I digress.

What brought me onto that was that after getting my lovely pressie, an Ad came on the telly for the programme that was on BBC last night, and through bleary (aka wine soaked) eyes, I set a reminder on my mobile phone to watch it.  I must have been plastered, because when the reminder went off at 8 o'clock last night, I hadn't a clue what it was about, or what channel the thing was on!!   Roll Eyes

I found it via the Skybox though, and I have to say that I had the best hours entertainment watching it that I've had all over the Christmas season.  The crew had set up cameras hidden in things that looked liked snowballs, and sleighs and the results of getting up close and personal with the bears as they swam, hunted, played and fed was just fascinating!

Definitely try to get your hands on a download of it!

Right - back to work for me!

I saw it!
Excellent programme. Great filming with robot camera's. It showed what great inteligence these animals have.
I liked the scene where the female bear that was looking foe a mate actually teased the male and blatantly offered it on a plate to him.
There still must have been some guys actually filming for you see the robot camera's being given a bit of gbh by the bears.
Brave guys.

Bye the way a belated merry Christmas to one and all.
(I have been out of the loop for a while)
