We're up to episode 3.  It's like Deadwood 60 years on.

i have looked at a number of forums mainly MCFC ones and a few others and everyone is raving about this programme , even saw a few tv critics have said its the best thing for years , one even said it was better than The Sopranos and The Wire if it is that good it will be amazing

Better than The Wire is a bold statement. It's certainly very good television and is certainly in the same league, but whilst the opener was engaging and beautifully staged and shot, I still think it's yet to fully hit it's stride. But then, I'm only 5 eps in.

On the Deadwood front, Ian McShane is a hard act to follow and the way he said a certain word (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've seen it) was legendary. That said, Buscemi is a really good way to go and he's impressed me so far. Certainly as good as James Gandolfini, although quite different.

If you're happy to watch it on a PC, I'll be bringing the lot with me next week (in High Def of course  Wink )....

Thanks honey - I'll probably just download it in standard def... as I try to only watch it on the telly. I spend too many hours working on the PC, so try to escape it in the evenings.

Thanks ever so much for the kind offer though! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

And you can't plug your laptop/PC into your TV?? I thought webdevs were supposed to be technical?!  Tongue

I know what you mean about getting away from a screen though! Offer's there anyway, I'll be bringing a whole bunch of home-ripped DVDs and TV on my portable HDD, along with about 15,000 records. Although I suspect I'll be too busy to watch or listen to any of it for the first little while.

Yeah, I've got enough problems with my cases without a ton of vinyl! 40 kilos really isn't a lot!

To be honest it's not doing it for me. I love the sopranos, on my 3rd watching of it as it's now being repeated on sky Atlantic.
