I'm sorry hon...  don't know. But Jude might pop in and know? She lives there (Costa Teguise, that is... not at Fat Larry's LOL)

I'm going to move this thread to the Costa Teguise section - then she's more likely to spot it.

A very warm welcome to the forum by the way!

you lost me there boys,am i missing something or just being blonde?Huh

re fat larry's to be honest i have never been in the place but others have and the decor was supposedly fantastic, real american diner with dukebox etc, however it is very hard to get people to go into somewhere that they cant see,the bar is underground with a staircase leading down to it,tourists can be a very wary bunch if they dont know what they are getting,so it may have been that, lots of other reasons too but ask around a bit more!! sorry cant help more than that. Undecided

Thanks, we looked over  the property and it seemed a good investment ,gorgeous decor, well maintained public and private areas, something didnt feel right about it though and when I asked the son of the owner certain questions like"what the profit margins were, why he now works as a chef in PDC not at the restaurant, why the business is closed, and if I could see the books" the answers were extremely vague.

Sounds like you need to steer clear Tabithaduke. Personally I would never consider a business if it's not in people's faces... like Jude says. The decor etc might be beautiful, but if nobody knows it's there... then you're going to struggle. Better to take on a frontline business, give it a refurb, and make that a bigger success.

Not that I know thar particular venue personally... so I'm not making any statements about that one in particular... just giving my generalised opinion.

Good luck love!

That end of Costa is very quiet as well and there are a few fairly well established places already in the area who you would be competing with.

i get it now smokie!! Roll Eyes honestly you boys need to get out more!!! Tongue xx
tabitha, there are lots of honest businesses for sale in costa, with genuine reasons for sale too,you obviously know the questions you need to ask but also try being  anonomous 'customers' too,sit for a while and check out the passing trade etc make it different times tho.some places might seem empty but have a roaring trade an hour or so later, and have a bit earwig of what people are saying, basically the more info you have the better, and if something sound too good to be true it normally is. good luck  and dont expect it to be easy, but it's all worth it in the end!! x
