Still not watcxhed it yet. Alan was away for a couple of weeks... so he's been catching up on the telly from then. I'm storing the Idols u0p for when he's done though! Am really looking forward to it.

I won't watch that You Tube clip just yet though Smiley

Decided on your faves yet Dixie?

I have to say that it all seems a bit weird this year, and Simon Cowell's control is very noticeable by its absence - and not necessarily for the better. The contestants seem to be doing their own thing, without concrete guidance. Randy Jackson is same as always thankfully... although maybe getting slightly harsher, which I think is needed. Jennifer Lopez is a simpering idiot with the idea that she's the biggest star there. Steven Tyler (who actually IS the biggest star there) seems to be counting down the days until it all finishes, whilst interjecting with the occasional "I loved it. It was unbelievable" - I would be very surprised if he did another season.

The girls all seem to be divas - which although is good for showing off talent and range, makes it really hard to choose from them.

The boys have disappointed me less, as there seems to be more variety.

My hot faves are (in no particular order):
Thia Megia - 15 year old lass. I hope she can handle the pressure, as she has the voice of an angel.
James McDonald - although I don't think he'll win, I'd be interested to see where he goes with this. Unusual voice and singing style.
Naima Adedapo - loving her, although I think she'll get pushed out by the slightly less talented (but pushed by the judges) Pia Toscano
James Durbin - although his Asbergers and Tourettes may make it diffiult for him in later stages when it REALLY gets stressful. Hope he goes far. Not many people would be brave enough to sing Judas Priest on a live show... so good for him.

He's the only decent one still in it in my opinion Dixie. I've not watched this week's one yet... but will catch up in the next day or so.

I do feel that the standard is way below previous years though.

I see my other faves have all gone.

James to win!
