Arrived early for a meeting in Costa and nipped into the Fisherman's Inn for a coffee, glanced at the menu out of curiosity expecting to see the usual Brit bar fayre of suasage and chips, egg and chips, burgers, etc and was very pleasantly surprised by what looked to be a decent menu so decided to come back for dinner after the meeting.

Ordered chicken pâté as a starter and a Asian style sea bass as a main, because of the general feel of the place I was expecting something which was fairly well done, but which wasn't going to blow me away, the pâté lived up to expectations almost exactly, a tasty enough pate served on toaster sliced bread with a fairly basic salad of lettuce, tomato, onions and  cucumber, not the best starter I have ever had, but certainly nothing to complain about.

The fish was a different matter altogether, a whole sea bass served on a bed of roasted vegetables with saffron rice in a fantastic sauce (ginger and lime if I recall correctly), the vegetables were delicious and the fish was cooked to perfection, possibly the best fish dish I have had in any restaurant on the island.

The place itself is quite nice and the staff were very friendly, would definitely recommend the place to anyone and will be going back there myself next time I am in CT.

That sounds very nice Clanky. Is it the same menu for lunch as for dinner?

I am fairly sure it is Elle, when I asked what time they started serving the main courses I was told "all day"
