all these movies are kicking about the net in the usual places for downloading using bit torrent sites.
the reason they are picked is because they are not grainy and are excellent sources for to make the viewing more enjoyable...not grainy cameras in cinema rips.
dvd is more or less what you buy in the shops and are an excellent source
r5 is also an excellent source as is blu ray, but then again the file sizes can be large.
usually cheaper dvd players that play divx are the best bet for playing these movies as the movies can be put straight on to any disc and played right away so no need to burn or make dvd which takes hours.!!

First up on new DVD movie releases this week we have a DVD Screener of multi award nominated drama Frankie and Alice with an Oscar worthy performance from Halle Berry. The plot centers on a young woman with multiple personality disorder who struggles to remain her true self and not give in to her racist alter-personality. An amazing performance by Halle Berry.
Very Highly Recommended.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie both star in the mystery thriller The Tourist, an R5 Retail this week. The plot revolves around Frank, an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path drawing him into a world of deceit, mystery and intrigue. Fun and lighthearted eye candy for both sexes.
Recommended if you want to look at something pretty.

Mystery horror Let Me In is a remake of the Swedish horror hit Let The Right One In this film is about a bullied young boy who befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.
A beautifully made and excellently acted vampire/romance story.
The original is excellent and if you can see it then you should, but if you haven't seen it then I Highly Recommend this one.

Staying with the Swedish theme we have the second and third parts of The Millennium Trilogy , based on the novels by author Steig Larsson. We already had part one The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, but this week kicking about net is The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest.
Hollywood is remaking these movies in full English but the originals are brilliant as they are and you can watch them dubbed in English or in Swedish with English subtitles.
Highly Recommend all three films.

Diane Kruger and Sam Shepard star in thriller Inhale, another Retail this week. A couple goes to dangerous lengths to find a lung donor for their daughter. An interesting movie that asks "How far would you go to save your childs life ?" .
Lots of suspense, drama and just the right amount of action.
Recommended.

Horror thriller Outcast is a DVD Rip this week. It tells the tale of Petronella, a Scottish/Romany girl, and Fergal, her mysterious Irish traveller boyfriend. As their doomed relationship plays out, a Beast stalks the estate, killing locals, working its way towards our protagonists. Meanwhile Cathal and Liam, two mysterious travellers from Ireland use ritual and magic on a blood hunt. Mary, Fergal's mother performs ritual and magic of her own. As Cathal comes face to face with Mary in a vicious finale we know one thing: the Beast must die.
A really solid uniquely weird, supernatural horror thats strangely compelling.

Multi award nominated comedy drama The Kids Are All Right is a Retail this week.
In LA, Nic and Jules are a couple with a daughter, Joni, on her way to college and a son, Laser, at 15 a good athlete but maybe hanging out with the wrong pal. Laser wants Joni, who's now 18, to find out who their biological father is - a sperm donor. Without initially telling their moms, they meet him. He's Paul, a cool guy with a motorcycle, a restaurant, and an organic garden. Although Nic doesn't like the idea, the five of them get together a few times and the kids spend time with Paul. He hires Jules, who's had many brief vocations, to landscape his back yard, and Nic, who's an OB/GYN, decides to be a good sport and get to know Paul better. Can a family add a new member? Touching and funny with good performances from Annette Bening, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo.
Recommended.

Romantic fantasy drama Charlie St Cloud with teenage heart-throb Zac Efron is another Retail this week. Charlie St. Cloud is a young man overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother. So much so that he takes a job as caretaker of the cemetery in which his brother is buried. Charlie has a special lasting bond with his brother though, as he can see him. Charlie meets up with his brother (Sam) each night to play catch and talk. Then, a girl comes into Charlie's life and he must choose between keeping a promise he made to Sam, or going after the girl he loves.
Cliché-free, simple but beautiful, well-acted and moving film that should be seen by all generations for the life lessons imparted. Recommended.

Comedy Life As We Know It is also a Retail this week. Starring Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl this is the story of Holly and Eric who were set up on a blind date by their friends, Peter and Allison, who are married. A few years later after Peter and Allison were killed in an accident, they learn that Peter and Allison have named them as the guardians to their daughter, Sophie. So they move into their house and try their best to honor their friends' wishes. But raising a child puts a crimp on their style and they don't exactly get along.
An enjoyable, feel good, throw away comedy that has plenty of laughs and pretty people.

Wes Craven, director/writer of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, the Scream series and The Hills Have Eyes ) directs and writes the horror My Soul To Take , yet another Retail this week. In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer. Adam "Bug" Heller (Max Thieriot) was supposed to die on the last night the Riverton Ripper wrecked havoc on that terrifying night. Unaware of terrifying crimes being committed to the seven children, he has been plagued by nightmares of their murders while not aware if they hold true or if he is simply imagining the images that haunt him. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that's returned, he must face an evil that won't rest...until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.
Recommended to horror fans, Wes Craven never disappoints.

Another horror movie this week is Paranormal Activity 2 which is an Unrated Retail release. After experiencing what they think are a series of "break-ins", a family sets up security cameras around their home, only to realize that the events unfolding before them are more sinister than they seem. As with the first film there are those that seem to be unaffected by this genre of horror and don't think its scary at all. Then there are others, like myself, who are scared shitless by this kind of subtle, intimate terror inducing suspense thats mostly created inside your own head, especially in this case because in my opinion any horror film is made even scarier by the inclusion of children and scary sh*t going in in mirrors....

so on that basis its only Highly Recommended if you were scared by the first one and you want to have sleepless nights again...

Chain Letter, a DVD Rip this week and starring Nikki Reid and Keith David is also a new horror release in which a maniac murders teens when they refuse to forward chain mail. Its a no brainer 90ies-esq cliched slasher movie (unstoppable serial killer, gruesome and very creative kills, 20-30 year olds playing high schoolers, some nudity, pretty girls, etc ...) , but that doesn't stop it being very entertaining and a great Saturday night popcorn movie.
If you've grown up with horror classics from the 80s and 90s you'll have a better appreciation for this movie. Recommended.

Yet another horror this week is twisted serial killer flick Choose, also a DVD Rip.
The stunning Katheryn Winnick , Nicholas Tucci, Kevin Pollak, Richard Short and Bruce Dern star. The peace and tranquility of an idyllic, suburban city is suddenly broken. Behind a picket fence and manicured lawn, teenager Sara awakens, startled as a rush of cold air gently pushes he bedroom door open. Across the hall her parents' bedroom door lies ajar and as her eyes adjust to the darkness she finds her parents gagged and tied to the bed. Knocked unconscious she is later awoken by a deranged killer (nicknamed "Scarlip" - played by Nicholas Tucci) and given sixty seconds to make a simple choice: who dies, her mother or her father?..
A bit of a SAW influenced gore-fest but Recommended to horror fans who will definitely enjoy.

French WWII drama The Army of Crime is a Retail this week. The poet Missak Manouchian leads a mixed bag of youngsters and immigrants in a clandestine battle against the Nazi occupation. Twenty-two men and one woman fighting for an ideal and for freedom. News of their daring attacks, including the assassination of an SS general, eventually reaches Berlin.
The film is a rewarding exercise in both character study and war-time clandestinity paying a respectful documentation to true-to-life people.
Highly Recommended.
Viva la resistance !

The wonderfully dark mystery drama The Missing Person is another Retail this week. Private detective John Rosow is hired to tail a man on a train from Chicago to Los Angeles. Rosow gradually uncovers the man's identity as a missing person; one of the thousands presumed dead after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Persuaded by a large reward, Rosow is charged with bringing the missing person back to his wife in New York City. A wonderfully unique, dark, moody piece of film noir rarely seen anymore, complete with the dull monotone narration over the top and even a saxophone solo in there too!... I love films like this.
Highly Recommended if you like the genre, check the trailer :

Happythankyoumoreplease (yes that is how its spelt) is a comedy drama and a Blu Ray Rip this week. Six New Yorkers juggle love, friendship, and the keenly challenging specter of adulthood. Sam Wexler is a struggling writer who's having a particularly bad day. When a young boy gets separated from his family on the subway, Sam makes the questionable decision to bring the child back to his apartment and thus begins a rewarding, yet complicated, friendship. Sam's life revolves around his friends-Annie, whose self-image keeps her from commitment; Charlie and Mary Catherine, a couple whose possible move to Los Angeles tests their relationship; and Mississippi, a cabaret singer who catches Sam's eye.
Not out in cinemas here or in the US yet this is a clever, heartwarming, hopeful and hilarious light comedy with good involving character development and a genuinely nice film to watch.
Check the IMDB site and watch the trailer :

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1481572/ Recommended.

Colin Firth , Orlando Bloom , Amber Tamblyn and Patricia Clarkson all star in the drama Main Street, a DVD Rip this week. Several residents of a small Southern city whose lives are changed by the arrival of a stranger with a controversial plan to save their decaying hometown. In the midst of today's challenging times, each of the colorful citizens of this close-knit North Carolina community, will search for ways to reinvent themselves, their relationships and the very heart of their neighborhood.
A gentle, modest character stud and an enjoyable and engaging drama.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is an R5 Retail this week. Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world. A great film for the entire family that expands its contents beautifully from the previous two.
Fans of the books or the previous films will certainly enjoy.

Helen Mirren, Christopher Plummer, Paul Giamatti and James McAvoy star in the brilliant biographical drama The Last Station, yet another Retail this week.
A historical drama that illustrates Russian author Leo Tolstoy's struggle to balance fame and wealth with his commitment to a life devoid of material things. The Countess Sofya, wife and muse to Tolstoy, uses every trick of seduction on her husband's loyal disciple, whom she believes was the person responsible for Tolstoy signing a new will that leaves his work and property to the Russian people.
An operatic and delightful film full of heart, love, and heartbreak. Recommended.

Like Dandelion Dust, a DVD Rip, is a compelling drama that explores the different meanings of being a parent through the gritty, realistic lives of the struggling, blue-collar Porter's, and the privileged Campbell family. Their lives intersect, intertwine and collide, all for the love of a little boy. This film bravely exposes the humanity in each character reminding us that we each have the potential to be the best and worst versions of ourselves at any time.
A wonderful tear jerker starring Mira Sorvino and Barry Pepper thats on par with award winning The Blind Side.
Worth a watch if you fancy a good cry.

British crime drama Mr Nice starring Rhys Ifans is a DVD Rip this week.
It tells the story of the legendary drug smuggler and all round pot head Howard Marks and his rise to notoriety, wealth and how he lost it all. Now I've read the book several times and love it and cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone.
This film however does not follow the book, but ignoring that, it is still a very enjoyable and entertaining romp probably best appreciated by people who have more than a passing knowledge of cannabis. Recommended to those familiar with Howard Marks and /or smoking weed.

The much advertised romantic comedy Love and Other Drugs, which is not long out in cinemas here, is a BR Rip this week.
Maggie is an alluring free spirit who won't let anyone - or anything - tie her down. But she meets her match in Jamie , whose relentless and nearly infallible charm serve him well with the ladies and in the cutthroat world of pharmaceutical sales. Maggie and Jamie's evolving relationship takes them both by surprise, as they find themselves under the influence of the ultimate drug: love.
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway who have amazing chemistry together on screen this is a sexy, funny date movie and the fantastic cans on Anne will keep the men occupied for the duration. Highly Recommended.

When I first seen Odette Yustman's name in the cast list for Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, a Retail this week, I thought maybe that would be an angle to recommend it on. But she is only voice acting. So.... Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 is new this week.... Im sure someone will want it ? ... maybe if you have brain damaged children whose condition you want to make worse, this might be the title for you ?!?!...

happy searching and downloading   Wink Wink
