Dixie as most of you know comes from Hartlepool where they once hung a monkey that escaped from a French ship, thinking it was a spy - hence Hartlepudlians are known as monkey-hangers.

i thought you lot hated the monkey hanger thing , wheni worked at NNC i was inthe office that dealt with Hartlepool power station and worked with a lot of the engineers from there andthey detested it
