Pity your fans don't appreciate it Steve, couldn't believe all the empty seats for such an important match Huh(no excuses about going to Wembley either) Cheesy
They are probably pi**ed off that after spending all that money they still can't finish above Man U, Chelski and Arsenal.  Cheesy

I wonder how much more they are going to shell out before they can compete with their much bigger neighbours?

It just doesn't seem like three years since we beat Man City 8-1  Oh in fact it is exactly three years today 11th May  Grin Grin

I'd pay a million punds to see that again, although City have paid about a quarter of a billion since then not to!!

Get real Steve that is just a figure you've made up.
Most fans will travel back after the match and I'm sorry but I just don't buy your excuse.

tickets are about £120 , and sold out now , so if anyone wanted one now its the touts , virgin trains stuck there prices up horrendous to get a ticket for anytime on virgin from manchester to piccadilly was £200 just after teh semi , hate to look know , most are staying down in London , only ones who are on coaches seem to be coming back going by what i read on city boards, hotels again have stuck teh price up , food , great but you cant take anything in youhave to buy wembley food, add to that programme and countless beers , and a hotel room , which will no doubt be in watford or harlow , so tube or taxi

petrol money down and back ,  works out ,

i cant afford that and

You're twisting the facts again Steve.

Tickets start at £45 and the top price are £115.

Think yourself lucky that you're not a United fan as the ticket prices for the Champions League final are fixed by UEFA and are £80 to £300 but I don't think you need worry yourself about that.  Cheesy

I agree with Steve that the trip to Wembley will be very expensive, when you add it all up and who can afford that ?

OK, some facts about Wembley from what I paid.

Ticket - £60
Petrol for car - £25
Beer/small snack - £60
£145
You dont HAVE to stay over - even a hire car between 4 can cost as little as £20 each, so the hotel and train costs are irrelevant.

I'm also going to the CL Final at the very same stadium, and follow my team at most home games.

The basic fact is a lot of Blues having slagged United's "glory hunting" fans for years, and now they have some success they are doing the very same they have accused us of (in spite of the fact we've had the best crowds in Britain for over 50 years).

COMS is rarely full, and yes tickets for the final have now been sold. But they were easily available if you were prepared to queue up when they came on sale the week before last.

Not having a go here Steve, City fans were as loyal as any in the country when you were in the old division two. But United fans like myself (family, average wage) will follow our team through thick and thin. Imagine having to get money together for an FA cup final and a CL final abroad in the same week???

Having said that, I fancy City to turn Stoke over on Saturday.......
