Do we or dont we.

This is the serious question we need to ask ourselves.

After reading some forums and recieving advice, do we bring the cats with us?

We are not selling our house in Scotland as my kids will be staying in the uk with my mum, would it be better to leave the cats, as ive read their can be poisins left for ferel cats and even though my cats are pedigrees they like to go out and about the garden etc.

I dont want to be selfish and just bring them for our sakes and then something happens to them, but on the other hand we would miss them also as they are such great characters.

Our kids are older and can come and see us anytime, but the cats cant and we would only see them when we came home to visit.

Any advice would be of great help though i know we can only be the ones who can finally decide.   Undecided

We left our two in the end after a lot of heart searching. They were quite old and we didnt feel the disruption and journey would be fair. If they were a lot younger we would have definately brought them. Felt like a complete b*****d when we had to say goodbye. They have settled in well with our friends who are looking after them.

I wouldn't get to hung up on the poisoning stories.... Lots of things get exaggerated here. Can't say I have heard of anyone who has lost one like that. No more risk than the UK (we lost a dog to rat poison once on farmland - the farmer had quite legitimately left it near some waste)

I'd say they would be just as safe here as they would be at home.
