I thought the attitude of Blackburn during the last 15 minutes of todays game was disgraceful.
I know that it worked to Manchester United's advantage and as a United fan, I should be pleased but to make no effort at all and in effect to "give" United an easy point ruins the whole ethos of a sporting fixture.
It's not fair to Chelsea, West Ham, Blackpool, Wolves or Birmingham.
United were not blameless either as they then also joined in by making no attempt to try and score a winning goal, in effect they also "gave" an easy point to Blackburn.
If that is how it is going to be, then the whole competition becomes worthless.
This wasn't football.

Couldn't agree more Smokie, a complete travesty of "competition".

As a Birmingham fan who's bum is twitching I couldn't agree more.
I just hope they (United) don't 'roll over and die' next week against Blackpool or else I may join the 'Utd haters' gang.  Undecided

It wouldn't really be any different to United "rolling over and dying" against Blackpool next week and having two "surprisingly easy" games against them next year.(or Blackpool selling their best player to United for a "surprisingly low price)
Where does it stop?
At first, I was only blaming Blackburn and not United as all teams try and play out time and take the ball into the corner of the pitch to hold onto a result but once the United players and management realised what was going on, they should have forced the issue and gone on the attack.
The fact that they didn't makes them equally blameworthy.
I don't want my team to achieve success with such underhand methods.
I'd love to see the F.A coming out strongly against it tonight and ordering the game to be replayed.

couldnt agree more - was totally against the spirit of our club and the way weve played throughout my lifetime at least. thoroughly pi**ed off when it finished and kind of spoiled the celebrations (for the immediate after game bit anyway, managed to shake it off and look at the bigger picture of the 36 games before it which had got us to that point and enjoy the evening).

all in all a happy fan but angry at the absolute farce that was the last 10 mins.

"Manchester United's open top bus parade next week will start outside Old Trafford, and finish outside Big Ben, for all there loyal fans"

Take a look at pictures from the 1999 bus parade Dixie, almost 1 million people lined the streets between Old Trafford and Deansgate.

Biggest myth in football is that there are no reds in Manchester!

Same here Lefty, I was driving back from Barca in 1999 while the parade was going on.

BOTH parades should be a great advertisement for football in Manchester......
