Garden gnomes Gnomeo and Juliet have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. An entertaining, visually fun film with good action set pieces. Its not going to win awards for the plot but you don't watch action flicks to expand your mind ! ...

Jesse Eisenberg provides the voice for the main character, Blu, in the animated adventure comedy Rio, an R5 Retail this week. When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with this bird of his dreams. Bursting with infectious energy and verve from music to colour to spectacle, this is one heck of a party you'd be a cuckoo to miss. An epic, lovable, beautiful and visually stunning animation
Very Highly Recommended.
British comedy Killing Bono.
Two brothers attempt to become global rock stars but can only look on as old school friends U2 become the biggest band in the world. Starring Ben Barnes (Narnia / Dorian Gray / Stardust) Robert Sheehan (Season of the Witch / Misfits) and featuring a fantastic farewell performance from the late great Pete Postlethwaite. Pure nostalgia as your transported back to the 1980's and dodgy music venues with half baked bands performing as if their lives depended on it. Fabulous. Not everyone's cup of tea though - I do wish they'd managed to sneak in a bit more of actual U2 music.
Highly Recommended to 80's music fans.

Violent horror murder fest The Violent Kind .
One night at a secluded farmhouse deep in the Northern California woods, a small group of hardened young bikers and their girlfriends are tormented when one of the girls becomes savagely possessed and a gang of "Rockabillies" seemingly from the 1950's descends upon them to collect what is growing inside her. Stands out as a smashmouth, grindhouse Independent, supernatural slasher with a real substance and an uncharacteristically good ending. Recommended to horror fans.

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1174968857/Romantic sci-fi thriller The Adjustment Bureau.
Do we control our destiny, or do unseen forces manipulate us? Matt Damon stars in the thriller The Adjustment Bureau as a man who glimpses the future Fate has planned for him and realizes he wants something else. To get it, he must pursue the only woman he's ever loved across, under and through the streets of modern-day New York. On the brink of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate, ambitious politician David Norris (Damon) meets beautiful contemporary ballet dancer Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt)-a woman like none he's ever known. But just as he realizes he's falling for her, mysterious men conspire to keep the two apart. David learns he is up against the agents of Fate itself-the men of The Adjustment Bureau-who will do everything in their considerable power to prevent David and Elise from being together. In the face of overwhelming odds, he must either let her go and accept a predetermined path... Well acted with a believable romance, a light dusting of Sci-Fi and a great story. "Inception" lite perhaps, which is certainly recommendation enough for any film.
Action fantasy thriller Drive Angry with Nicholas Cage, Amber Heard and William Fichtner. A vengeful father escapes from hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. A solid popcorn action movie with cliché one-liners, explosions and muscle cars.
A Guilty Pleasure.
