Hi All,
We have always stayed in Pdc, but following our usual March holiday when we were both suffering from colds and a chest infection,we feel like we need another holiday and we are looking to come over again in a few weeks time. We think it is time for a change and we would like to give C.T. a try.
Can you recommend any decent accomodation please. We have looked at Oceano and Santa Rosa but without knowing the resort we cant tell if they are centally located. We just need a clean reasonably priced apartment.
Cheers.

If you are looking for something fairly basic then the El Trebol apartments, which are located at the Las Cucharas end of town (about 20 minute walk to the centre) are not bad, I have also heard good things about Celeste apartments, but haven't stayed there myself.

If you want a little orientation, look on google earth or google maps, and if you find the Pueblo Marinero square that is as close to the "centre" of CT as you will find, although both Playa de las Cucharas and Playa Bastion areas have some nice beaches and nice bars and restaurants too.

In general CT is much quieter and laid back than PdC so don't expect the bars to be as lively, but you will avoid the nuissance of eleventeen million PR's as you walk around.

Agree with Clanky re the Treboll - only problem is you have to hire kettles and toasters - about 10€ a week I think - I've always stayed a The Los Zocos' - right opposite Las Cucharas - (kettle and toaster and microwave included !!!)
I always book direct with them - always go S/C - its not 5* - but then nor are the prices !!!

Thanks for your quick replies. Just had a look at Celeste apts, they have an offer for the week 23/6 -£203. That seems very cheap. Is C.T. hilly like PDC. it's hard to tell from the photos .

It is a little hilly in places, but they tend to be longer more gentle hills than in PdC, the walk from the las Cucharas end of town to the central part is quite pleasant.

if you are staying at celeste you wont encounter any hills at all !! flat all the way! slight incline down to the beach area but not caridac inducing! lol, have a look at oasis lanz and nazaret too, they are very central and the oceana too.santa rosa is nice but further out of twon at the playa bastian area.
happy hols tho .

Zocos is probably the cheapest apt complex, if that's what you're looking for.

You have to be OK with young kids  running round though! Whenever I've popped my head round the door into the entertainments room of an evening there seems to be loads of them!
