Thought I'd start this new thread for comments on anything we've seen in the papers.

Did anyone see the "interview with Nancy Dell'Olio in The Sunday Times magazine today?  A complete p*ss take.

Some quotes:

"I know I'm fascinating",  "I love to look 30 like I look now", "I try not to have any meetings before 11.30 to allow me time to wake up properly", "I don't know anyone who does as much as I do".

Hilarious.

Great topic Josie - Sunday Mirror today:-

Ryan Giggs affair: He tells brother Rhodri to get rid of cheat wife Natasha Guess he doesn't do irony - would put 'lol' if it wasn't so seedy and tragic Roll Eyes

Well I posted this in headlines, but it isn't a headline and is more appropriate here

A survey how well the networks' 3G claims stood up in central London by trying them out all over included the quote "The cynically minded might find it intriguing that the only two places in our test where 3G actually seemed to work well were outside the Houses of Parliament and the headquarters of Ofcom, the telecoms regulator. Lucky politicians and regulators. "   No s***!

No Josie, my self preservation instinct took over and I looked away!  I thought there is little enough of my life left to waste it on reading rubbish like that. The woman should have been strangled at conception!

I now know who Poshtart is, do you agree CG?   In fact I found the article about big game hunting much more disturbing. I'd not thought about it for years, but I've now decided those people are just sick  - for instance that Texan lawyer with 200 plus stuffed bears, cats etc in his study. He must have very small equipment he's trying to make up for!

Anyone else think it's strange that Princess Kate doesn't know how to hold a spade?  There's a reason why it has a handle!

A news story for Clanky from last night's BBC south news.  Privately owned Southampton docks owners are up in arms about the expectation that Liverpool publicly funded cruise ship terminal may soon be allowed to handle cruises starting and finishing there which they can't at the moment. Liverpool will have to refund some of the public money.

ABP (Associated British Ports) are a bunch of greedy scumbags anyway, Why should it make any difference who funded the terminal in Liverpool?  If ABP don't like the competition then they should up their game a little.  The public money which was invested in the new terminal for Liverpool will be more than repaid by the benefit to the local economy of cruise companies using Liverpool as a turnaround port.

Southampton is an awful place anyway, the only advantage that it has over Liverpool is that it's easier to get to, but even then only if you are travelling from dahn sarf.

Apparently all the dodgy dealing that dominated the headlines recently were fake...
