Just saw a trailer for a new series on channel 5 (uk) for a new documentary about a guy who walked the length of the Amazon, looks like it might be good. It's starts Thursday night at 9.

There's irony, I've only just seen this thread.  Walking around the island is one thing, walking on the Amazon might be another - I'd need big cork shoes!

IF this is "Amazon" with Bruce Parry, which is a BBC show, it's absolutely AMAZING! I would totally recommend it.
