Superb Experience.

Jen and I went for a meal at La Bocaina on Saturday night. It was a fabulous evening from start to finish.

The waiting staff were informal but professional and very attentive. The decor and ambiance just right and the food was delicious.

I had fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce. The batter was sublime. Jen had mushrooms spinage and goats cheese, she said it was the best.

For the main course I had shoulder of lamb not the prettiest dish I have ever had but man the taste was unbelievable so tender and tasty.

Jen had tenderloin pork and she said it was perfect. The vegetables were cooked just right. We had the house red Lanzarotian wine, which complimented the food very well.

The lamb dish is a whole shoulder so I was a little full but Jen talked me into sharing the cheese board with her and I am glad she did the soft Canarian cheese was exceptional.

All in all a lovely experience, the great thing for me was it was Chefs night off and it was spot on always a sign of a well-run kitchen. We had a wee dram at the bar at the end a met all of the staff at some point in the evening and everyone from Sous chef to the K.P. were happy and motivated.

Will definitely be back.
