Hammy's

Hi to you all,
Just got back from costa teguise, had a fantastic time. whilst there we went out to celebrate my birthday, we had a fantastic meal at Hammy's ( playa de las cucharas ) and 1st class service. After our meal we didn't know where to go to dance and Hammy (owner of Hammy's) was kind enough to show us where and how to get to a good disco called Dreamz (excellent).
Because Hammy's was a great place to eat, we spent most of our time dining there and making friends with him, but we never got to say goodbye. So if there is anyone out there who may happen to be going to Costa Teguise in the near future I would be gratefull if you could say hello to him and sorry we never got to say good bye

Glad you had a good time Ann. You booked your next flights yet lol. We're in Costa Teguise next week, so if we get to hammy's we'll let them know for you.

Hi,
God i wish i was coming with you...Dreamz is an excellent place to go for a dance, its up near the "Last minute" travel place, but am sure if you go to Hammy's he will lead you in the right direction.  I have till October to wait till  I am back in Costa Teguise, unless I win Lottery....I do hope you get to meet Hammy,  his wife and him are a lovely couple....I made friends with them the last time I was there, so I would be very grateful if you said goodbye to him for me and tell him about this forum if he wants to keep in touch...cheers

I'm afraid I'm even luckier than that. We live here! Not in Costa Teguise, but we're up there to see some people anyway next week. Yes, I'll try to pop into Hammy's for you - and I'll definitely pass on your message if I do.

Hi there Ann. Managed to see Hammy this evening... and passed on your message. He was very touched - and kept saying thanks! I asked if he remembered you and your 6 friends... and he said "Of course!!!" Sounds like you made an impression. 

I forgot to ask him about Dreamz though - doh! I'll find it though.

It's very overcast in Playa Blanca today... but there's blue sky over in Costa Teguise's direction... so maybe they've got it a bit better there.

You'll do it if and when the time is right for you I'm sure Ann. We moved when it was exactly right for us, and we've never looked back! It's hard work, but oh soooooooo rewarding.

I'm not a lady of leisure yet... although we've bought the winning ticket for the Euromillions on Friday!   My husband  (Bart in this forum) and I, run our own company doing web design, and also running a certain nice and friendly Nightlife site too!

It's just so great to live and work in Lanzarote. When we go outside out door, we have the views across to Fuerteventura, and we're flanked by Montaña Roja and the range across Femes and Papagayo. A short stroll into town takes us straight to the seafront. It's just incomparable really.

Right now it's a warm clear evening... and the doors are thrown open to the garden. I have a vodka and coke by my side - and it doesn't get much better than that eh.

Keep those dreams Ann - you never know eh?

Where else did you like in Costa Teguise? There's so much isn't there? Was it your first time to Lanzarote? Ha ha ha... now it's ME who's asking questions.

Sorry to interrupt Flooey and Ann but absolutely NOTHING happened after 200 messages.  Must try harder.

The Femes mountain range is called the Ajaches Flooey - You can see Ajache Chico and Ajache Grande from your place and mine - I'm sure you would have remembered had it not been for the voddie.

Other half is due back any minute - must pretend I've been doing something useful.

 how are you... it was my 3rd visit to Costa Teguise...1st and 2nd visit was with hubby, this last visit was to celebrate my big 40 with all female friends!!!....On my 1st visit I did a view trips, as you do, hubby and I went to the fire mountains, had a grand tour of the island and had a day trip to playa blanca and fuerventura....even though my hubby doesn't like sunbathing, we spent most of the days lieing on the beach..He says it was because of the nice breeze keeping him cool that made him comfortable to do so....i think it was because he enjoyed playing in the sea    Reason for coming back:- not only do I think the place is so pretty, I think the people are so friendly.....Yes one day I will pack up and move over to Costa Teguise, but when we have got a bit more money behind us. So when did you move over to Playa Blanca and what inspired you...oh and what's this certain nice and friendly nightlife you run and where in england did you come from(my question's to you)

Hi again Ann. Yes, the breeze gives you a welcome break from the searing heat during the summer. It's been a gorgeous day today again!
We came here in summer 06, and we did it to get away from the UK, and the drudgery there that was depressing us more by the day! We wanted to live and work in the sunshine, and learn a different language. Nice and friendly nightlife website? That'll be THIS one then LOL. I should've said website, instead of site eh. Oh, and I'm from Portsmouth.... "dahn Sarf"!
