Striding edge is one of the few I can't do. I have a real fear of heights. Tried it a few years back, but bottled it. Left my friend to go up to the top and I scrambled down to Red tarn to wait for him. It never ceases to amaze me just how clear the water is in there and others. I used to take the kids up to the lakes quite a bit. Used to camp mostly at either the one on the side of Windermere (the forestry commission one), Low Wray - or the little one right in Hawkshead which I really liked because its one of the few in walking distance of a number of pubs...

hi flooey and bart,
hope your both well.......at last we are having some sunshine over here, been able to lie out in a bikini in the garden, its been that hot, just hope it lasts, probably not......oh my god...iv'e just bought myself the wii nintendo, with the wii fit to go with it...what a laugh.....just hope it works and gets me into shape for October which is now only 5 months away...can't wait  ....thats providing i don't break something doing the wii fit lol

Omg...I haven't been on here in ages...been poorly  all of June...had bad bout of gastroentiritis...3 and half weeks of diahorrea....then my hubby's mum died,  my mum only died last October...both from cancer....then if things can't get any worse, my cat disappeared .....had him 10years  ........anyway we are both coping  and are looking forward to our holiday in October, 10 wks to go....all booked and paid for, we are staying in the Galeon Playa, Costa Teguise  ....how are you...hope you are well....whats the weather like there now,,we are having sh*t weather...one min sun and dry , nxt rain, thunder and lightning....look forward to hearing from you

Hey there Ann honey - was thinking about you the other day!!!

Sounds like you've had a really tough time of it. I'm so sorry chick! Definitely count the time down to your next holiday, you'll definitely appreciate it.

The weather here is fantastic! We've got hubby's boys over at the mo - and they've both caught the sun today. Bart and I seem to have this all year round glow these days (aka - look dirty lol).

Keep your chin up hon, despite your sad times... and things can only improve!
