15 minutes ago I was trying to teach junior lawyers how to translate jargon into normal speech for a presentation they are giving in a couple of weeks.  It was quite a challenge.

Doing my hair and makeup, and putting on a silk dress with a smart suit jacket and new strappy brown shoes. Just waiting for Alison to get here and we'll grab a cab to the Marina to meet Ray's lovely lady, Jen... and perhaps Karen too if she can make it.

15 mins ago I was running for a train which I missed.  "It might say 19.17 on your phone Madam but my watch says 19.18".

Getting a taxi home, which oddly was cheaper than the taxi out.

Out at 7.15 back at 10.30 pretty standard I'd say.

Fifteen mins ago I was signing up to support the Times safe cycling campaign.  Though since I seem to be the greatest danger to myself I doubt it will do me personally much good!

I was reading about that earlier.  Apparently a 60 year old was killed yesterday.  I was trying to understand what the campaign is trying to achieve.  Wouldn't separating bikes from cars do the trick?

That's pretty much the basis of the campaign.

Just set out to wash/desalt the cars, got all set up then discovered water wouldn't come out of the hosepipe Roll Eyes
