I just read on another site that Sapporo in Matagorda may be closed - does anyone know if this is the case??

I hope not, as I am quite fond of Japanese when I am over  Sad

I do hope that this is not a case of some of my favourite restaurants deciding to shut up shop after the summer season, I suppose it may be inevitable there will be some closures in the future if business is down.

Hope it hasn't closed. First time in Matagorda this year and had preselected all the likely places to visit/recommended. Sappopro was high on the list.

I think it is still open, was just something on another site misleading a few of us.

The teppanyaki is good there, looking forward to going again, my daughter loves to try on the kimonos.

They do take away as well which is great if you are staying nearby, lovely tempura prawns  Wink

Stargirl, I've walked past in the last few days and it was very much open then!

This thread seems to be a follow on from the question on TA, no idea why TA may
be showing it closed as to the best of my Knowledge this is certainly NOT the case....

rest easy and enjoy
