I love the early and mid 80's music but as the decade came to an end I think it went downhill.
Have to say though that the tracks I enjoy listening to most would be 1975-1985. It's probably an age thing though. In 1975 I would have turned 13 in October so 13-23 was where all the awakening took place!
..... Now I'm in the Somnolent Phase!

Being 2 years older than you Bernie I would definitely agree that the late 70's early 80's were a good period for music.

For sure Josie! I think we grew up in a great time for music and in those days it did make you feel like dancing around the kitchen floor! Some of the music now is the kind of stuff you couldn't dance to even if you wanted to! Of course the Curtain Thieves would be an exception to that rule. I always want to dance when they sing Only In The Night! In fact, I might just get up and do a little boogie now! Here's my boys!

Thanks for reminding us how good they are - where did they get to in the charts in the end?

They got to 35 in the Irish Chart, but lost their position the following week as they had bulked out the sales in week one to get their place. It was great for an unsigned band, but not enough to catapult them on the road to success.
Never mind. The second single is waiting in the wings and it's even better.
