I'd been recommended this place by a couple of people, including Irishcolleen, and since we had to go to PdC today, we had tapas there. We thought it was very good, not cheap, but the food was not run-of-the-mill , and was of high quality and beautifully presented. We had mini pork kebabs with a hot apple sauce, chicken rolls with Serrano ham, wild mushooms and chorizo sauce, papas arrugas, nice "holey" bread and mojo sauces. It was nice to have proper linen napery, and pleasant service.

Nice writeup John. They got rave reviews when they first opened... and then not much was heard - so am pleased that they're still doing well.

Those pork kebabs with apple sauce are a favourite of mine John. I agree not as cheap as some tapas bars on the island but food is always very good. Desserts are exceptional I hear but I always peak before getting to dessert!!

How much was your bill John? Roughly?

This could sort my PDC lunchtimes. A couple of tapas dishes and a soft drink. Lovely!

Just under 20 Euros for the two of us with a jarra and agua con gas. As Rich says not the cheapest, but very nice.

Wheelchair friendly yes - you'll certainly get on the terrace, and if the inside layout hasn't changed from when it was the bar before... then your good lady can get indoors too. It's down the side road next to where McDonalds used to be on the Strip (they were closed down by McDonalds for NOT having wheelchair access a few weeks back) just up from Centro.

If you don't know PdC well, (like me) you'll need to know that MacDonalds is upstairs on a  corner plot, so you have to raise your eyes to see it.   I've just checked on Street view on Google Earth, and there are two small steps from the pavement onto the single level tiled floor of Taberna Nino,  The road it is on is Calle Tanausu if you want a preview, and it is the second on the right.

As Ell and John have said shouldn't be an issue once in the restaurant as it's all on one level with reasonable room between tables.

Oz, I should have said, I'd have been able to get my father in law's chair up those steps, by tilting it back, because the front wheels would be on the terrace while the back ones were on the pavement.  Then it's just a case of grunting!

Cheers folks,
No excuse not to visit now. My son is coming out with me next time so I'll get him to do the huffing and puffing.
Thanks again
