Author Topic: Cultural week in Costa Teguise starts 12th November 2011  (Read 263 times)

SATURDAY 12th  AT 12:00 Hours: Street band with carnival figures around Costa Teguise. At 16:00 Hours: III “Cortijo del Majo” Canarian Bowls Tournament by the recreational facilities next to the Los Zocos Hotel.

SUNDAY 13TH BETWEEN 10.00 – 15.00 Hours: Trekking. Departing from Los Charcos beach, route “trek around Costa Teguise” and return to the point of departure, bring adequate footwear and water, classed as low to medium difficulty. Approx 10 kilometres, at the end light refreshments will be available.

MONDAY 14TH AT 20.30 HOURS: Final of the III “Cortijo del Majo” Canarian Bowls Tournament by the recreational facilities next to the Los Zocos Hotel.

TUESDAY 15th  AT 19:00 Hours Chat about a book based on a true story, CROSS OF THE SEA 30 YEARS ON, prologue by the only living survivor Miguel Angel Rodriguez Garcia and co-author Juan Antonio de la Hoz. Held at the Hotel Salinas Costa Teguise.

WEDNESDAY 16TH  BETWEEN 17.00 – 20:00 Hours: Skateborad and graffiti workshop at the skate park in Costa Teguise by Lanzarote Bay Hotel.

THURSDAY 17TH  AT 18:00 Hours: Street band with carnival figures around Costa Teguise ending at the Celeste Apartments parking area followed by theatrical play LA CANA AL AIRE DE DOS PALETOS and puppets.

FRIDAY 18TH AT 19:00 Hours: Dancing by the European Champions Rubén Alonso and Tatiana Niz, followed by guitarist Antonio de la Rosa at the Celeste Apartments parking area.

SATURDAY 19th BETWEEN 16:00 – 22:00 Hours: INTERNATIONAL VILLAGE DAY.  Different stands from different countries showing typical delicacies, craftwork and folklore. at the Celeste Apartments parking area.

ooo sounds good,just wish costa teguise tourist info would promote these things a bit more to visitors,they could pass info around the bars and restaurants then we could pass it on to our customers,instead of having to search for it ourselves. will try and pass on to as many as i can tho!

I got to know the organisers last year when we got invited to play in the Bola compertion (only british team), I moaned at them then and said we need more notice, offered to take posters around the bars, this year again no posters and only a few days notice, its a shame when some do put in some effort, maybe next year.

agree doggy, they came round with posters the day after the event had started??? mind you this year they have excelled theirselves with carnival info! the dates have been announced a few weeks ago so folk can actually organise their hols around it ! instead of the usual one week before lol
