My next door neighbour has dogs. He feeds the dogs with the balls of hard compact dog feed. He leaves it out all day Result - 40 to 50 pigeons spend there life sitting everywhere around my villa leaving their traditional trademark everywhere. My neighbours reaction. A shrug of his shoulders ( not his problem). Any suggestions of how I can remove the problem.

A high powered water pistol Tricky? Or a real one (for the neighbour)? Sorry... joking aside... this must be terrible for you. Pigeon doo-dah is acidic I think isn't it? So it could be causing all manner of damage to your property.
Pigeons don't like mirrors and don't like spices. So you could try sprinkling pepper or similar where they are landing. Or dangling blank CDs (not the Missus' Boyzone Greatest Hits or she may not be best pleased).
Basically you want the pigeons to realise that yours is the place to steer clear of - so whatever you do... you need to keep repeating it until they learn.
I did read one suggestion that said to place "bangers" where they land, as the noise would work wonders every time they landed on one... but being a big wuss I don't know if that could hurt the birds too.
Perhaps try putting up some of those metallic windmilly things. You know like we had tied onto our pushchairs as kids? The movement should make them think twice. Your villa may end up looking like something out of Play School... but if it works it works.
Welcome to the forum and good luck - pigeon poo is a horrible thing to deal with. Mind you... you could always start scraping it up and plopping it onto your neighbour's walls and garden?

Like the idea elle.
However my family and guests are going to get a little wet wet wet before they step into the pool or while they are enjoying the UV rays on the sunbeds.
CD discs do not work for more than a couple of days. They blow away or lose their sparkle
What I really need is to borrow someones pet sparrow hawk for a day or so.
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum.
I only spend 3 to 4 months in the villa and the rest of the year in Britain working to pay for it. So unfortunately cannot have a 24 / 7 attack on the vermits

Sparrow hawk isn't such a bad idea. They use hawks at Arrecife airport to keep the blighters off the runway. maybe you can hire them? Sounds expensive to me... but if you don't ask, then you don't know.
PS: You can always switch the scarecrow off whilst you're all in the garden and pool. Because you can always scare the pigeons off by hand when you're actually there. And then switch it on again when you leave. Saying that - how would you get it up high enough?
Oh - I don't know! Hope you get it sorted though hon.

Might be worth trying rubbing (white) pepper into their landing spots, fences, walls, pergola - I've used pepper successfully with cats before (but it got rained away to quickly in the UK to be a practical long term solution). My guess would be it should work with pigeons... There's the old fashioned way and use a scarecrow. Perhaps a it might look a bit naff in your garden - so how about something like a decoy falcon.... In all seriousness, my dad used to work at the Wildfowl Trust and they used to use decoys quite a lot to attract or deter certain types of birds from areas of the reserve.
