Hiya......

Everythings moving swifty for the move over now to Playa Blanca - can't wait!!!

Hoping to be over by Xmas.... one question though, my mum will need a mobilty scooter, has anyone got any tips of whether to purchase in the UK and ship over, or if it's cheaper to buy once we are in Lanzarote?

Cheers in advance,

Not sure of the cost here on lanzarote..probably dearer than in the UK but importing from the UK will probably involve import duties so you need to think carefully after shipping costs and import duty if you'll save anything.

Yeah - the import duty is often a surprise as there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. We paid €15 for something fairly recently... and then just under €7 for an identical item with identical pricing etc.

Hmmm... a toughie this one. xxx

I have a customer who runs a mobility hire business here. I will ask for you as I suspect I will see them later watching the footy.

You'll only pay import duty if it's new, so if she uses it a bit in UK first, that should be OK.
