Sky dish

Hi

Thats me moved onto th island now and will be moving into my property on the 2nd dec the place im staying in now has the sky package but does not receive bbc1 itv etc, i have my sky box and full sky package what size of dish do i need to get bbc1 itv along side my full sky package

You can get itv on a small dish by adding it via services and add channels. You can only get certain regions of it here. BBC channels you need a 3.1 meter dish. FYI a 3.1m dish needs to be concreeting into the ground and the cost usually starts at 2k euro's! So not a cheap option. There are other ways. You can get via an aerial via a dodgy re-broadcaster (but it may get closed down at any time) or you can view online via a number of methods. Ps you can get the bbc streams here via adding in 'add channels' via services on any size dish.

Rich, do you know the codes for the BBC channels we get ITV via the add on but can't find the BBC ones.

Just watched the Friday practice sessions on Frequency 11954 H    27.5    2/3

To quote a post from a different forum:- "In the week beginning 26th. September seven ETV streams ('Enhanced TV') will be reduced to five and move from Astra 2D to transponder 13 11954 H 2A south to take the slot vacated by BBC News, Parliament and Alba."

When these frequency is added as additional channels, there are streams called 6711, 6712, 6713, 6714 & 6715. These are the ETV streams. 6715 seems to show the sports red button home screen but you can't select the different streams from there. I found the F1 on 6711.

Go to services and then find languages, change the language to punjabi and save, you should now have audio otherwise you'll have no sound on those bbc 'streams'!!

Rich do you know the cost of a normal sized sky dish, that will let me get my full package and where is the best place to buy one
