Sorry to be a pain for asking more questions but you lot bring it on yourselves by being soooo helpful!!  Wink Are there any bookies in PB so we can have a flutter on tomorrows footy? And where's recommended for watching the games where we can still catch a bit of sun?  Cool Many thanks for your help, it saves us ages looking for places.

Hi Davenshell

I don't think there are bookies in PB in the normal sense of the word but others may be able to help.

Loads of bars with footie on also good for sitting in the sun.  You'll have to check what's on but the Irish Anvil near the port is good as is the Kings Head by the town beach.

Hi davenshell - it's actually not legal here (although prostitution is... go figure) so you shouldn't see any bars advertising bookie services here. That's not to say it doesn't go on though. PM on its way.

I ended up joining 'bet365' online so we all had a flutter. Only me that won and I'd rather have lost (I'm a red and bet on the correct score on the city match so a bitter sweet victory!!) You're right Elle - i didnt see advertising betting in the pubs but on the other hand I didn't see a lot of prostitution either?? So as you say - "go figure". Had yet another brill day in PB and tomorrow we're going to the zoo at Rancho Texas - anyone got directions cos I'm driving?? ps had some absolutely fantastic garlic prawns at some TexMex place on the front earlier!!
