Just noticed some posters in town when I was wandering about for an act that's on this Friday down at Legends Karaoke Bar in the CC Limones.

It's a female singer, and the poster shows pictures of Madonna, Amy Winehouse and Susan Boyle among others.  Sounds like it could be a good night, but I just wondered if anyone has ever seen her perform before? I certainly haven't seen adverts for her in PB, but perhaps she is a regular up in the heaving metropolis of PDC?  Grin

I like Legends though, it's small and cosy and easy to get an atmosphere going once you have a few peeps in looking for the craic.  A bit like Buskers over at the CC Papagayo.

Anyhow, if anyone has any experience of this Jo Norfolk I's appreciate knowing if she's any good.

I suppose I could just wander along on Friday anyhow and check her out!  If I'm not impressed I can always just shout "Rubbish!" and walk out!  (Nah, I wouldn't really so that!  HONEST!!)  Wink

Good woman SG!

Just had a peek, and I'm impressed!!!

Definitely know where Alan & I will be spending Friday night!  Must check again what time it starts, as I reckon she'll draw quite a crowd.

Cheers!   Grin

She was really good actually!  Can't believe that I didn't post the review of the show on CN already!  I was quite sure I had written something on the day afterwards!  I am definitely going dolally!

Anyhow, she's a woman in her early to mid 40's and she was apparently a backing singer for Susie Quattro way back when.  She has a very good voice, and she sang songs from every decade from the 60's right up to the present day!  She could have done with a better crowd to get an atmosphere going, but all things considered she did very well to keep everyone jollying along.

She could swing her legs like a 12 year old, and apparently she can still do the splits!!  (.... and no, for the record, I have not studied many 12 year olds swinging their legs, but you get my drift!!!)

I would certainly go and see her again and it was nice to see Legends getting a bit of a crowd in again. It's a lovely wee spot, and has always been one of my favourite places for a night out.

Cheers for reminding me to do a review Keith!

Early to mid 40's  Shocked She'd love you for that,, closer to late 50's I think.  Suzi Quatro is 61.  She's very good for her age though!
