Good evening all,

Only a couple of weeks until the Badger annual xmas family tour of the canaries and this year we have hired a villa in PDC...

We are seeking to know where shows the soaps, where there'll be a quiz or karaoke and where we can go for a night for a nice Christmas Meal...

Look forward to your replies and hope you enjoy the festive period ahead...

Lovely lovely!

There's a quiz at Spenders Bar now - but I don't remember what night it's on, I'm afraid. Maybe Overhere will pop in and let you know.

Hopefully someone can help answer your other questions too

Have a great time xxx

Unfortunately there is no shortage of bars showing soaps so you shouldn't have too many problems in that department.

The Owl and Pussycat at the Los Pocillios / San Antonio end of Carmen has a quiz every night and as for a nice Christmas meal there are approximately eleventeen million restaurants in Carmen ranging from cheap and cheerful to really good, my personal recommendation would be Kinsale in Matagorda, but really your best bet is to have a wander around and look at the menus to see what suits your taste / budget.

Great stuff thank you all...

For a meal we are looking for a nice sit down meal in a nice restaurant with views and maybe some form of entertainment...not the usual karaoke/disco.

What is the exchange rate in PDC. Am I better buying out there??

Yes I really like Restaurant Mardelva. Lovely views away from the busier harbour area... and fab fresh fish.

Badger, if you really want to carry all your holiday money around and risk losing the lot, and brought, say, £1000, you could save perhaps £15 by changing it in an Indian shop here rather than in the Post Office at home.  Personally, I'd use the hole in the wall here, which for £1000 would cost you about £20 more, but is much safer

Thanks all... Mrs Badger, the dog and I are currently in the Lake District enjoying the other extreme of our December Holidays ... only a week until the dog goes to mums, the in-law is collected and we take her out to Lanza along with the youngest who is now 15...

On top of finding a top notch eatery for our xmas night out, meeting up with a colleague in bottles bar (since we're in same place at same time it would be rude not to...) and enjoying the Lanza December Sunshine, we'd like to enquire what the reception is like for ITV/BBC in an evening...will we receive the soaps whilst getting ready to go out of an evening (mother in law querey)...
