Update from Clare Riley - Daughter in Law of Margaret Holt.

We have just been at the search and rescue briefing to give info before the teams go back out. The guarda civil have a sighting of her at 16.30 on 23rd dec in the middle of the north between Ye and Magez heading on a road or path towards Jameos del agua or punta de mujeres. On her lists we found she had written down the bus time back from punta de mujeres of 18.10 so we believe she could have been heading for that. The search teams are focusing on this area plus the caleta de famara area going north. So If people could focus their efforts on this area it would be fantastic.

Still no word on this poor unfortunate lady then?  How awful for her family.  My heart goes out to them with every day the sun sets and still no sign of her.

Sadly she has not been found. Her son was interviewed in Livrpool a couple of days ago. He says he has accepted that Margaret won't be found alive - but hopes that at least her body will be found. It's a very sad time xxx

It's so sad for them not having her body.  So hard for them to believe she is really gone, and no answers as to how she lost her life.

We had a fishing trawler go down in Co Cork a couple of weeks ago, with 5 men losing their lives.  Just at the end of last week they found the last two men who had been still missing.  Even though the families had lost their loved ones, there was great consolation for all as the final two mens remains were retrieved and laid to rest.

Please God someday she will either be washed ashore, or found in some crevice or other where nobody had been able to find her before.  It's an awful situation and I can't imagine the grief that they must be suffering since Christmas.  At least she died doing something she loved.  Walking on a beautiful island.
