as you know i spent xmas in Sweden and i absolutely loved it , having never been i wasnt sure what to expect but its a brilliant place well Stockholm is , after a good flight and landing in snowy Arlanda airport , my sister picked us up after a hours wait for her to finish work , so i took in the scenery in the airport and very nice it was too, (2 legged variety )

When we got to hers she dropped us off so she culd pick up the kids , and i got a huge hug of my niece and nephew , after managing to persuade my Brother in law to watch City v Stoke(all prem matches are live  Grin) and a few beers it was a very well earned sleep required on a blow up mattress which i bounced about on a lot when i slept and which the kids loved every day there after before they went to bed , on the Thursday we went to the city well more to the old town(Gamla Stan) and it was great , we had a huge hot choc with cream in a weird cafe in a dungeon , and had a amazing Dagens luch which is the daily specials , a lot of places have ,. so swedish meatballs had to be had and forget Ikea ones now these were homemade and gorgeous , the lunch cost about £10 but you get a salad buffet , main meal and coffee and a small desert , if anyone is going to visit there , try the lunch deal ,but try and get a non pasta/taco place  seems most swedes eat at lunch and dont eat much later on , stockholm was lovely but very very cold ,

i have some pics which i may post later , the day after was a hectic one i went with my sister to the supermarket and they were preparing for xmas eve which is the big day over there so i did a lot of cooking etc

on xmas eve we had a swedish christmas table , and it was a huge meal , my brother in laws family came over who i havent seen since the wedding and they sang songs and drink lots of scnapps , the food was stuff like herrings , in various sauces , chicken , xmas ham , meatballs , sausages , a thing called Jannsons temptation , which is spuds onions cream and anchovies and absolutely gorgeous it was a great nite and xmas day was a very quiet one it was decided that after eating a lot on the eve we would have a traditional turkey dinner on boxing day , which due to illness i ended up cooking it LOL, again i was allowed to watch teh city game , but due to be in the kitchen i missed a lot of it LOL not that bad considering the score

on my last full day i took my neice and nephew to the park , and also my brother in laws daughter from his first marriage , i was absolutely knackered as i was dragged on to swings etc with them ,

i left on wednesday after a very relaxing but tiring trip , and left everyone ill , which i think i have picked up since i came back

all in all i had a great time and cant wait to go back being with the kids made the trip , and made me realised never having kids has been a big mistake in my life

so thats a quick rundown , hope everyone had a good xmas , and have a happy 2012  Grin

and i went to Vallingby whihc is the town my sister lives in and we went to a food court , not your run off the mill kfc.mcds etc , but a sushi bar, greek place , chinese , steaks and pizza etc , my pizza was huge and about 15 inches , and it cost £8 , my mum and dad had chineses and got loads of dim sums , my brother in law had japanese steak which looked gorgeous and my eldest niece sushi and she got about 10 pieces
