Just been announced Gary Ablett the ex Liverpool, Everton and Bimingham defender has died of cancer aged 46

one of a few people to play for both teams on Merseyside and be loved by both sets of fans , also played for Tranmere so did all the teams on merseyside/wirral

Very sad but, although he was so young, I'm sure that his death was a release from months of illness and pain.  He was much admired and is an example to younger players, I hope.
