Hi Everyone,

I only found this great forum, few days ago!!

My partner, son and myself have visited PDC every year for past 3 years. Heading over again in Sept for two weeks, i know ages away!! And we are getting married in Puerto Calero in July 2013!!

We stay in Matagorda every year, really love it there and some day would love to take the plunge and move over, but i can still dream in the meantime!!

Thats all for!!

Talk soon,

Dave

Ha ha ha! Ask away honey. You can get me via PM on here... or email me elle@gandy-draper.com Am happy to help (I have already helped a number of potential wedding couples). First important contact info you should have is that of Glynis. We ALWAYS use her for our flowers. www.flowersbyserenity.net She's done oodles of displays at weddings here... and plenty of those were at Puerto Calero.

Yeah, Glynis is very good! I get a bouquet from her every year for my birthday from various people. She's got a real eye for detail.

There are two large hardware stores on the main road out of Playa Blanca, either of which may be able to help... but probably Ferrocur is the hot favourite. However, I'm not 100% sure... so maybe one of our other members can confirm.

Has anybody on here ever sent a large amount of items to Lanzarote say a pallet?? Can anybody recommend a shiiping company from Ireland??

I don't know much about the Playa Honda shops (only Ropers, Hiperdino and the Cassh & Carry). But there are builders merchants elsewhere on the island.

The ones I've mentioned are right on the side of the road as you leave Playa Blanca to go to Yaiza. Make sure you get the right exit to get to them though, as the one just before it that runs parallel will have you stuck for miles before you can turn back. Go round the roundabout a couple of times, and check where the left hand road that heads up there is. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

Ferrocur is a large white building and is next door to Home Zentrum.

We used a pallet to bring our stuff over. It gets done all the time. I can't recommend anyone from Ireland - but have a chat to Karen at www.ckhaulage.com - she brings our larger items out for us now... including a couple of valuable things that we didn't trust a courier with. She might know someone who can help.

Megacentro opposite Deiland has a lot of hardware type stuff in the basement eg we recently bought Hammerite there. FT on the industrial estate at PB is also good.
