I am visiting from wed onwards and was just wondering where is the best and cheapest places for local beer? any recommendations?

Hi Chris, welcome. There's loads of good bars in PDC. When we were there last it was pretty much €2.50 a pint in most places.

Many frontline Bars are doing happy hour from midday until 4 pm selling large beer at 1 50 e however just to let you know that is most places a large beer is just short of a pint.Average price in the evening 2 e.

Don't think there is a bar in PDC I haven't visited!

bit late but the locals bar in the old town is very very cheap not sure of the name i call it the Dorada bar , it has a green door and is more or less on the crossroads opposite La Hoya cntre

Spot on Steve, locals call it Dorada Bar, also known as bar Puerto Del Carmen.
Large beer was 1.30 when I last went in a few years ago, always used to be full of locals. Think the smoking ban had killed it as its always been empty recently, no smoking area but the main road!

yep my mates local . loved the place 1 for the prices 2 for the atmosphere helps i you speak spanish thou and they always seemd to smoke outside , drapped over the barrier , its a good job last time i was in there it was like walking into a peasouper

oh another one i have found which is off the front is Bermuda Jacks , great place cheap and stewart is a great host not sure if my mate is still working there
oh and he is a blue LOL
