Hiya Im Debbie. Just arrived in PDC a few weeks ago to stay! Lookin for a job, any advice? How do I get one of those piccys you all have next to my name?  |

Hi there Debbie, and welcome to the forum.
Best advice for getting a job is to put your flat shoes on, and get your face in front of prospective employers. The summer is coming, so people will be looking for more bar staff, PRs etc. What kind of work are you looking for?
Adding your piccie is nice and simple. At the top of the page it says "profile". click on that, and then halfway down the left hand side, it says "forum profile information". Click that, and you can upload a photo, or put a link in for one if you have it online.
Yell if you get stuck!

Ill give it a try.
Not really in that much of a hurry for work, but I know Ill need to find something. Ill do anything that pays the bills really. Used to work in an office in Liverpool, but Ive done bar work and stuff before to.

Hi Debbie - where in Liverpool are you from? I'm from that neck of the woods....
I used to work in The Port of Liverpool Building too - had a great view over the river from my office!

Hi Debbie and Welcome! Bet your happy chatting to mates back home when you can be telling them of all the great sunny weather we've been having! There isn't much office work out here unless you can speak and write fluent Spanish and will travel to Arrecife ... you might find "office style" work with estate agents but more often than not languages are going to play a big part in this as well! I'm another one of the Playa Blanca crew but do go all over the island and for my party nights out with mates it usually a crawl around some part of Carmen! Let us know how you're getting on!

Not really sunny the last couple of days was it! Thanks for the welcome guys. So where are the really cool places I wont have discovered yet hidden in the back streets of Carmen? And why did nobody warn me what these bloody moroccan men are like! |
