Agata Cristy's
Forum
A taste
sensation has arrived in Puerto del Carmen, in the form of Agata
Christy’s Restaurant Bar. This is Lanzarote’s first Polish –
Irish restaurant bar, and the 2 strong influences are a perfect
match.
Therestaurant bar is owned and run by Agata from Poland who is the
Head Chef, and Christy from Ireland who plays live music in the
bar every night after the kitchen has closed. Every night is a
ballad session where anyone is welcome to sing, play, or give
another rendition of the riverdance (there seems to be a lot of
that for some reason)
The
restaurant serves the very best of Polish and Irish dishes to be
found anywhere on the Island. It is open from 6pm, and already
popular with residents and visitors alike. All the ingredients
are fresh – with not a frozen vegetable in sight! The desserts
are a must-have, with all of them prepared freshly. No frozen
apple pie here, instead that particular dish is actually an
apple crumble, with a soufflé, and fresh cream.
San Miguel
and Amstel are available on tap, and very soon the Polish
bottled beer will be arriving too! There is a wide range of
cocktails available, and of course the usual spirits and mixers.
To find
Agata Christy’s Restaurant Bar in Puerto del Carmen. Make sure
you are on the main avenida, with your back to the beach. Head
away from McDonalds, towards the Casino. When you reach the
American Indian Café, you’ll see a short walkway to the right of
it, with a Tattoo shop at the end of it. Agata Christy’s
Restaurant Bar is just to the right of that.
