Emma´s Cantina Forum
A new Lanzarote
restaurant opened in May 2007, in the form of Emma’s Cantina
Mexicana. Forget your usual eateries – this restaurant really is
something special, and a true taste of Mexico. They serve real
Mexican food, cooked by Mexicans, using Mexican products as far
as possible. A massive enhancement to Puerto del Carmen, Emma’s
is one place you really must visit during your trip to the
Island of Lanzarote.
The decor is authentic and stunning, right down to a sombrero
and poncho hanging on the coat hook, and beautiful art adorning
the walls. The menu changes every few months, to ensure that
there will always be something new to tantalize those taste
buds. Don’t like spicy food? Mexican food is not always hot and
spicy, but it is always tasty. The regional dishes are all
authentic, and are prepared freshly for you. The staff will
happily discuss the menu with you – to help you choose the
perfect meal.
Emma and Mike opened this Puerto del Carmen restaurant after
successfully running Emma’s Bar for 17 years. They know what
works, and you will have no doubts about that once you have
spent an evening in their establishment. Emma’s Cantina Mexicana is open
7 days a week from 6pm.
Finding Emma’s Cantina Mexicana is easy. Head down Reina Sofia
towards the Old Town harbour. At the mini roundabout, take the
first exit, into Roque Nublo, which guides you down a steep
hill. Keep going forwards, but when the road thins, be careful,
because to carry straight on will take you the wrong way down a
one way system. Turn right at this point into, and keep
following the road around into Calle Teide. You will come across
a pedestrian crossing. Emma’s is on your right, almost on top of
that crossing.
All Canary Nightlife members are entitled to a 5% discount on
their next visit. Pop into the Emma’s Cantina forum on this site
to find out how!
