Alex and Liz welcome you to the
only Scottish bar in Playa Blanca. As soon as you enter this
cosy bar, you are struck by the warmth of the hosts. Everything
is personal here – as both Alex and Liz strive to ensure your
visit is one never to forget. Open from 10am until 3pm, and then
from 7pm until late – every day… this bar has it all.
Finding Fiddlers Bar is easy. As you stand outside the church in
Playa Blanca High Street, look across the street and up one
level. You can’t miss the flags flying high. To reach the bar,
enter the archway just to the right, and go up the stairs.
Start off your day with one of their traditional Scottish
breakfasts, containing square sausage, bacon, fried egg, black
pudding, potato scone, beans and toast – all of that for just
€4.50. The breakfasts are available from 11am until 2:30pm – and
are most certainly a talking point in Playa Blanca. They also do
an even larger version with double portions of sausage, bacon
and potato scones – for those extra hungry visitors amongst you,
as well as a full English and a veggie option.
When the footie is on, then you absolutely must watch it at
Fiddlers Bar, as they have full Sky Sports. Alex and Liz are
both Rangers fans, but love to spend time with their Celtic
counterparts too. You can sit indoors, or outside on their
terrace – which has beautiful; views across the Bocaina straits
to Fuerteventura. They also have a pool table outside for your
entertainment.
When evening falls, you’re in for a real treat. Alex Hutton, a
professional musician, performs every night. He plays live
acoustic music to suit all tastes. Not just a guitar – but also
the fiddle and the mandolin. Often Alex is joined by other
musicians, and jam sessions are a regular occurrence here at
Fiddlers Bar. It starts every night around 9:30pm, so grab a
seat and enjoy the show.
Everyone is assured of a warm welcome at Fiddlers – so make sure
