Fiddlers Green
Forum
Los Pocillos
in Puerto del Carmen is a lovely little complex right opposite
the beach. In there you will find Fiddlers Green, a cracking
Irish Bar. Fiddlers Green is open from Mid day until very late,
and serves a massive variety of food during the day, and into
the evening. But it’s at night that the fun really starts.
There is live music and/or karaoke every night of the week!
Miguel, Perci and Caroline are on hand to look after you – and
ensure your holiday goes with a bang.
Rock the
night away with “Elvis” every Monday night, as he belts out all
your favourites. “Uh huh huh”. Warren Devitt is on Tuesdays and
Saturdays, playing Country music. He does from the 50’s right up
to Garth Brooks. We know those feet will be tapping. Barry
Island is your treat on a Wednesday evening, and his show is not
to be missed. Barry is a cracking Welsh singer, and he really
gets the audience involved. Look out, he’s been known to drag
people up to sing with him too. Thursday and Sunday nights are
dedicated to Karaoke – and this really is the ticket! Ask for
Miguel’s fancy dress box… where there is an array of wigs and
more, so you can really get into character. And of course Miguel
is on hand with his camera – and the results of that will be
available in the forum. All live entertainment starts around
9:30pm, with karaoke kicking in afterwards at about 11:30pm
On draught,
they serve Caffrey’s Guinness, and the local beer Estrella.
There are of course the usual alcopops, such as Bacardi Breezers
and WKD Blue. You can also get Strongbow, Coors Light and
Magners by the bottle. Like your spirits? Yes, they have those
too, as well as wine by the glass or bottle. Cocktails are just
€6 too!
Finding
Fiddlers Green is easy. Heading away from Puerto del Carmen,
towards Matagorda, you eventually find yourself at a roundabout
that forces you to turn left. That complex on your immediate
left is CC Los Pocillos. Follow it around to the right, and
Fiddlers Green is tucked back in an alcove on the ground floor.
We’ll see
you there!
