September 2007 a new café sports bar opened at CC Los Pocillos,
between Puerto del Carmen and Matagorda. Many think that G & T
refers to gin and tonic, but in this case it actually stands for
George and Trish who are the owners of this venue. Already word
has been getting around about the great prices for quality food.
Open Monday to Saturday, from 10am until late… George and Trish
provide a really varied menu for both eating in, and take-away.
They are also offering a delivery service until 1pm in the local
area. All their produce is British, and with a choice of cooked
breakfasts, jacket potatoes, toasties, pizzas, hotdogs and
more…. There is sure to be something you fancy.
They have 3 large LCD screens in the café bar, showing all your
favourite sports from Sky and Setanta, as well as your favourite
soaps from the UK terrestrial channels. All the live games are
showing – and if there is something you specifically want to
see, then just ask. The walls are decorated with sporting
memorabilia, and there is a terrace with views across to Playa
Pocillos, so you can watch the world go by.
They have a wide choice of drinks available for you. Caffrey’s,
Strongbow and Estrella are all available on draught. Coors,
Heineken, Magners, Corona, Budweiser and Dorada are all
available in bottles. Add to that the vast choice of alcopops
and both premium and local spirits, and wine. They also provide
jug cocktails, and home-made sangria. They are also the owners
of a real coffee machine, for that freshly brewed aroma and
taste

Finding G&T’s Sports bar is very easy. Head along the main
Puerto del Carmen road towards Matagorda. Stand with your back
to Playa de Los Pocillos, with the mini roundabout on your
right. In front of you is a commercial centre, with the Offshore
Café on the left hand end. Head up the middle walkway, and G&T’s
café Sports bar is right ahead of you.
