The Fisherman's Inn
Fisherman's Inn Forum
Fisherman’s Inn has undergone some
big changes in the summer of 2009, with the new owners Sue, Jona
and Danny breathing a new breath of air into this popular venue.
Located on Calle Teide, this spacious pub provides great food at
great prices, as well as darts, pool, cricket events, bingo, and
quiz nights for everyone.
The food is if the same excellent standard as at Sue and Jona’s
last bar (Jaspar’s, on The Strip) and offers great value for
budgeting diners. Food is available from 10am until 10pm every
day with plenty of your favourite dishes on offer. During the
credit crunch… they are also keen to promote their €5 a dish
menu – with such goodies as shepherd’s pie, curry, chilli, giant
Yorkshire puddings, quiche, lasagna, lamb shoulder and more.
There is also a wide kiddies menu with all dishes just €3.50.
Food is available to eat in or take away, and with a wide range
of jackets, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, pork chops, stroganoff,
Cajun chicken – all with the expected trimmings… you really
can’t go wrong. There is also a great range of starters and
desserts.
Special mention must be made of the breakfasts. Rather than a
fixed price… you can choose as many or as few items as you like
to “build your own” at just €0.50 an item. The Sunday Roasts
already sell out fast – and at just €7.50 for adults, and €4 for
kids… it’s not difficult to see why – especially when you see
how much is on the plate!
Fisherman’s Inn can cater buffets for all your functions…
birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and more – either in the bar,
or at a venue of your choice. Contact them to discuss your
requirements and you won’t be disappointed.
The bar is open from 10am until late every day of the week… and
has all your favourite drinks – including a large beer for just
€2, cocktails for €5, and the usual spirits, mixers and
liqueurs.
Wednesday night is darts and bingo night, and Saturday nights
bring the quiz and bingo.
Fisherman’s Inn is the proud sponsors of their own cricket team,
who are just entering the Spanish Cricket League.
To find the Fisherman’s Inn – simply head up the hill from the
Old Town harbour, and turn left into Calle Teide (you’ll see
Irish Harbour bar on the corner). Carry on up that street, and
Fisherman’s Inn is on the right hand side, just before the
pedestrian crossing, and right opposite the Old Town Sports Bar.
