The Inn Plaice Forum
The Inn Plaice in Playa Blanca,
Lanzarote is undergoing big changes! In the summer of 2010, a
well known face in Playa Blanca (Stefan) took over and is
rebranding The Inn Plaice as “Tasca de Tapas”, a fabulous mix of
German and Spanish with a warm welcome to Brits too.
Many of you will remember Stefan from his days at the British
Open bar in Faro Park, at the western end of Playa Blanca… and
many of his friends have followed him down to Punta Limones.
Stefan’s concept is simple. Cheap good beer… cheap good drinks…
cheap good food… and great company! There is always a warm
welcome when you enter the bar – and this is the reason that
this bar will be a resounding success.
The bar is open from Monday to Saturday from 4pm until late
every evening. Food is open until at least 2am. There is seating
both inside and outdoors too.
All items on the menu are home made – including the chips!
One snack that is proving extremely popular are Stefan’s Doner
Kebabs. Cooked on the spit, so that you can have it fresh and
hot within seconds. People are already travelling to sample his
kebabs… and word has got out about his tasty home made chilli
sauce and garlic sauce. At only €3.90 – the Doner Kebab’s are a
great bargain! The entire menu is available for takeaway too.
The beer on draught is Mahou (local Spanish) and is just €2 for
a large one. You can also get a large draught Gaymers for only
€2.50. Wine is available by the glass… at only €1.50, or by the
bottle. All your favourite spirits and alcopops are available
too… as well as plenty of soft drinks. If you are after
something specific whilst over on your holiday – then pop in and
Stefan assures us that he will grab whatever you need for the
following day.
This is definitely the place to watch live sports on the TV, as
the mix of nationalities adds a great ambience to the place.
Football, motor racing, tennis – all the major sports are
available here via Sky satellite and Showtime.
There is free WiFi for customers of the bar and in July 2010
Stefan is starting special “Fish & Chips Fridays” – not to be
missed!
They say that small things come in small packages – and this is
certainly true in this case. What the bar lacks in size, it very
much makes up for in personality.
Finding the Inn Plaice is easy. Head to Punta Limones, which is
the complex just diaginally left of the Ferry Port. Head up the
stairs, and into the far right hand corner.
