Open since May 2005, Wax Bar offers a unique experience on the island with an open invite to all, relaxing atmosphere, big screens, comfortable seating and a wide variety of drinks at the right prices - just what YOU need to make your holiday just that ... a holiday.

Wax Bar is in Centro Comercial Papagayo (the commercial centre with Burger King) which is situated behind the biggest beach in Playa Blanca - Dorada beach.

When Wax was designed we took the viewing of major sports events as a high consideration and for this we have become known as the "Wax Theatre of Dreams" for many a fan who can watch the game on our 42" plasma screen without the fear of someone blocking their view.

Football ... Futbol ... Football

Premiership, La Liga, Champions League, Internationals, Carling Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup, Coca-Cola Championship, Bundesliga ... if we've missed it just come and ask!

We obviously don't just show football… So whether its Cricket, Rugby Union, Super League, Tennis, Golf, Snooker, Formula One, World Rally Championship, Darts or some other sport that takes your fancy then we will be showing it on one of our plasma screens.

However sport is not the only reason to come and visit us (Sports by day ... Relax at night) and so the "bus seating" (as one of our regulars calls it) is moved after the big games. So in the evenings you can expect even more!

Monday: Karaoke from 10pm with Karaoke Davey

Tuesday: Quiz night. Teams of 4. 1st prize = bottle of bubbly. 2nd prize = round of shots

Wednesday: “Pick & Mix”. No not a bag of sweets from Woolworths – this is “You pick it, and we’ll play it”

Friday: Every Friday is Poker Night!!!

Saturday: Yes, Karaoke Davey is back for his second slot in the week.

Alternate Saturdays: The biggest and best snake show on the Island – only at Wax Bar!!

Sunday: Comedy and chill out music night

To find us, walk along the promenade from the town towards the new marina and the centre is on your left. Wax Bar is on level 1. For a map - please take a look on our website... where You will also find a discount drinks voucher.
