Bars and resturant recommendations

We are coming out to Puerto Rico on the 14th January,we've not been for a few years. We was wondering if much as changed,also any recommendations for resturants and bars would be much appreciated. Thanks

As far as i have heard, you should stay away from the touristic kind of bars and restaurants. don't eat and drink at Europa Centre, but try the small local ones. That's what a lot of people told me. But I haven't been there for a while so I am not the perfect one for recommodations  :D
