Good to see they're doing something for the Canaries!  :)

I had the darts on, on Friday night and the adverts at 9pm ran an advert for the Canarias which is a start but just wished the tourist board or who ever decided to run the ads had sought advice and put them on terresrial tv(if they aren't already) as most of Sky customers live outside the UK and no doubt are mainly in Spain and the Canaries. By putting them on terrestrial they would hit a wider audience.

Just an observation any more comments?

It would be interesting to know the slots they had bought for the ads. Sky sports darts is not what I would have considered a prime spot for the Canaries....

I haven't seen it anywhere yet. They certainly don't seem to have booked any slots in the middle of Corrie or on sky sports lol and he boy's haven't mentioned seeing it on Nick Juniour:D

I agree... terrestrial TV would have benefited more - and could possibly have been cheaper - particularly if they concentrated on the areas that have airports that actually fly here. Mind you, I say that... almost everyone in the UK can get to an airport within 90 minutes.

I've seen a really nice advert for the Canaries, and for individual Islands... on Canarian telly. Erm... we're already here if we're watching that. Or perhaps they are encouraging us to Island hop.

Bart,

it was prime time viewing so guess they didn't know it was the darts that was being shown on the night they chose, I haven't seen it since.

Have seen at least 2 Canarias ads in the Times or Sunday Times recently.  The one this weekend was I think a pic of a beach on the Jandia peninsula on Fuerteventura - slightly strange Spanglish text but overall at least some publicity for the Canaries which must be good!

Everything I have seen in the broadsheets (or what used to be) lately has all been about Tenerife and how much up market it has gone - no mention of the other islands.
