Brilliant pics Bart.  It was very eerie for us living here.  We heard on the radio about the fires in the North (we are in the South) and then later in the evening everything went deathly quiet, and then this amazing blackish cloud surrounded us completely with the most amazing brilliant red sun that we have ever seen.

The next morning everything was covered in ashes and the smell of burnt out ashes took over the whole area.

Even worse was when the first year we moved here and experienced the tail end of hurricane Delta, now that was scarey.

I saw that Gomera and Gran canaria have had it this year too
