I've never been to Morro Jable. Heard it's lovely and quiet though.

Yeah I thought about spending the day up there when I was over Flooey.
I think it was the number 1 bus from the capital if I remember right.

We stayed there one night a few years ago on a trip over from Lanzarote.  Nice harbour area and beach front.  At the time more geared up for German rather than Brit tourists as the menus were only in Spanish and German.
I love Lanzarote!

Corralejo
Hi all my first post on this great forum!

Mine has to be Corralejo.... so much so we moved here (over 4 years ago).

Why? well the beaches are fantastic with the dunes to die for!

The town itself is a mixure of the old town and the new. We have a new shopping centre in El Campanario and another being built at the moment. And of course there is the Baku Water Park and animal Experiance that is well worth a visit.

A wonderful aray of restaurants and bars that will satisy everyone. From chillout to fun for the family to disco's till the early hours!

Another great thing about Corralejo is the Cosmapolitan feel that it has. I feel that the south ONLY caters for the German market (and when we visited the only English bar in Jandia was run by Germans! Why??)

Corralejo seems to cater for the German, Scandinadians, English, Irish, Italians, Mainland Spain, French in fact pretty much everyone.

El Cottilo is also a great place but I do not think I would like to stay there (live or Holiday) as the evenings would be a little quite for me!

Welcome to the forum Mit 1964 - great photos!

I visited the dunes a couple of weeks ago when the cheap Armas deal was on from Playa Blanca.  Brilliant landscape but full of people playing golf with brightly coloured balls!

Hey there Mit1964, and a warm welcome to the forum. They're a nice bunch in here... full of fun and positivity! Well... most of them anyway - then there's Bart ::)  ;D

Cracking photographs... and it's great to see a big fan of Corralejo posting. I've been over there a couple of times recently... and will be going back again soon. Actually... you might be able to answer a question for me. As you come out of the ferry port, and you go straight on, instead of bearing left towards the beachfront bars.... there are 2 little cafe/restaurants next to each other. The first one, I visited a while back and saw the most fantastic pulpo being served up to a table near me. I shall definitely be sampling some of it myself soon! I don't suppose you know the name of it do you?

Take care, and welcome again.

Elle  ;)
