Arguineguin is a small fishing village between Puerto Rico and Maspalomas in Gran Canaria.

Arguineguin is considered to be more residential than touristic… but don’t let that stop you from visitng this lovely little town. It is especially popular with Norwegians, who have ensured that there are various Nortwegian facilities in place… including a surgery, school, and church.

There are plenty of great places to eat in Arguineguin, and of course bars too… but there is also a good selection of shops. Arguineguin is especially renowned for the freshest of fish available in its restaurants.

There are two main shopping centres in Arguineguin… CC Ancora, and CC La Marea. There are also a number of markets, during the week, dotted around the town itself.

Located around 3/4 of an hour’s drive from the airport, the town has something to offer the travellers seeking somethng a little more Canarian than the larger resorts.
